The purpose of this 20-bed Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit is to provide children and Adolescents who have mental or behavioural problems with appropriate levels of assessment and intervention so that they can attain and maintain a good state of mental health.

The focus of the in-patient unit and day patient treatment programme is to work with young people and their families to understand the nature of their problems and to identify clear goals for treatment and recovery. The unit will operate at the cutting edge of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Programmes striving to offer a seamless transition between in-patient, day hospital and community services.
