Bernard Moloney joined Moloney O’Beirne in 1982. During his time with Moloney O’Beirne Bernard has developed considerable expertise in the design of facilities for people with special needs. His projects include residential, day care and special education facilities for children and adults with an intellectual disability, mental illness, dual diagnosis and autism.

Through his research and examination of projects throughout Europe and the United States, Bernard has become one of the leading designers in this field.  

Bernard was the Director in charge of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Merlin Park Regional Hospital, Galway, which received an RIAI Highly Commended Award in 2011.
